Position Summary

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Member Service Representative (MSR) to join our team. This position is responsible for providing exceptional service to our members by assisting with daily financial transactions, account services, and general inquiries while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist members in person, by phone, and electronically
  • Process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and transfers
  • Open, maintain, and close member accounts in accordance with credit union policies and procedures
  • Provide accurate information regarding credit union products and services
  • Balance cash drawer and complete daily transaction reports accurately
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal regulations, credit union policies, and procedures
  • Protect member confidentiality and account security at all times
  • Resolve member questions or concerns in a courteous and timely manner
  • Support daily branch operations and assist with additional duties as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous banking or credit union experience required
  • Cash handling experience required
  • Strong customer service background
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle confidential member information responsibly
  • Working knowledge of, or ability to learn, applicable banking regulations and credit union policies (including BSA/AML and account security procedures)
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems
  • Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
